Steam on Dell Latitude 3340 - Good Enough?
I bought my 12-year-old son a Dell Latitude 3340 for Christmas. He wants to play some of his Steam games on it (so he doesn't have to use my PC) but I was having trouble getting some to load. Perhaps because some are older Star Wars games and don't run on Windows 10 or something. I know it's not a gaming rig (I'd rather he do homework on the laptop from time to time) but I'd hope it can run some decent games at reasonable resolutions.

Anyway, the laptop specs are:
i5-4210U processor
8 GB RAM
240 GB SSD
Intel HD Graphics (maybe just 4400? not certain)
Wireless AC card

His game library is:
Lego Marvel Super Heroes (this one seems to load and run ok)
Lego Batman 3 Beyond Gotham
Lego The Lord of the Rings
Portal
Star Wars - Battlefront II
Star Wars - Dark Forces
Star Wars - Jedi Knight Dark Forces II
Star Wars - Jedi Knight Mysteries of the Sith
Star Wars - Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast
Star Wars - Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

its acceptable the only problem is that most games arnt designed to use intels igpus so some old games could have stability problems
but make sure he doesnt get any current AAA games they will not work with the computer
You already bought the computer and you didn't post a budget to upgrade it. You need to post a thread for each game you want to play in the game discussion area and see what the gamers say.
