what are you playing?
Testing GeForce Experience on Windows 10 - 64 bit with 16GB RAM.
Capped 1GB Windows Page File.
NVIDIA Backend - 15.4 MB (stable)
NVIDIA Geforce Experience - 3.6 MB (stable)
Geforce Experience Service - 2.0 MB (stable)
It's best to however manually update that software and ensure it's not blocked by Windows or Security software.
Download the latest stable drivers from:
http://www.geforce.com/drivers
If required, boot into safe mode before installing, then right-clicking the installer and selecting "Run as Administrator". This will help ensure it's not being blocked.
Next go under Control Panel > Nvidia Control Panel
Make sure they aren't forced to a global settings, but rather set to 'Application-controlled'.
If you are unsure... Nvidia Control Panel > 3D Settings > Global Settings > Restore (defaults)
Under 'Adjust image settings with preview', tick the 'Let the 3D application decide' rather than settings a forced preference.
GeForce Experience software will set these individually per game anyways.
Check the game locations under the GeForce Experience software... making sure Steam Folder is added, but not other large folders with no games, etc.
Also, untick "Beta Updates" on it, if enabled.
Apply optimal game settings, but consider settings any DSR resolutions manually back to native resolution, if desired.
The later versions of GeForce Experience aren't as bad as previous early ones. However, the automatic updating is still messy. People normally end up having Windows or their security software blocking it's requests/updates, which causes those issues.
If you want to use Geforce Experience - just manually update it, rather than relying on auto.
