Check your moterboard manufactuerers website for chipset drivers, and your GPU makers website for graphics updates for windows 10.
Extra:Clean Install, much better =P.
Windows 8 was more stable and faster than 7 + extra fps in DX11 games.
and this guy just bought his new PC
Windows 10 while a good OS and better than Win8 comes with its own problems.
Example: a game you run at High settings on with Win7, you may not be able to do on Win10. as from personal experience. There seems to be graphic quality differences with certain games on Win10 when compared to Win7.

My suggestion is
KEEP Win7
Upgrade to Win10 before July which is when the Free Upgrade period runs out(if the time hasnt changed) so you can get it registered.
See if you like it, if not revert back to Win7 and you'll still be able to switch later on when Win10 gets proper hotfixes..
Older systems should stick with Win7 due to limited availability of Win10 drivers.

End of support
End of support refers to the date when Microsoft no longer provides automatic fixes, updates, or online technical assistance. This is the time to make sure you have the latest available update or service pack installed. Without Microsoft support, you will no longer receive security updates that can help protect your PC from harmful viruses, spyware, and other malicious software that can steal your personal information. For more information go to Microsoft Support Lifecycle.
Prior versions of Windows, including Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, have limited support when running on new processors and chipsets from manufacturers like Intel, AMD, NVidia, and Qualcomm. For more information, please see the Support Lifecycle FAQ.
