Remove the following (carefully)
- RAM, Drives, Battery
Plug up AC Adapter only and power on, you should get beeps, but the laptop should stay powered on. If not... if it still powers off, unhook AC adapter and hold power button down for more than 15 secs then release. Then try installing ONLY a single RAM (populate 1x DIMM slot) and plug in AC adapter and power on. You should get the BIOS screen and No Operating System (obviously due to no SSD/HDD).
Go from there. If this works but still has a boot issue, try only 1x RAM in a different DIMM slot and re-try the ac adapter/power on.
If this originally was due to overheat you need to let the laptop stay off for a good while (hard to say without seeing it first-hand). If this was due to spillage, you should probably seek a good PC Tech to look at and properly dissemble everything and clean/dry everything out.
