Lenovo Y50-70 Problems
I have a Lenovo Y50-70 GTX 860M 4GB DDR5 laptop It has been 1 year since I bought it, and it's a pretty decent laptop that can run Grand Theft Auto V, Call of Duty : Advanced Warfare, and Far Cry 4 on LOW just FINE. until i saw this

Grand Theft Auto V PC - Lenovo Y50-70 @ GTX 860m Ultra Gameplay Demo

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare GamePlay on Max Settings Lenovo Y50-70 (Gaming Laptop) GTX860M 4GBDDR5

Far Cry 4 Max Settings Gameplay on Lenovo Y50-70 (Gaming Laptop) GTX860M 4GBDDR5

what's going on here? have i been lied to by the shop? is it just a coincidence that three different people made three fake videos about the laptop? or is there something wrong with my Lenovo Y50-70? please help me! any kind of answer would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. the shadow rendering on my laptop is horrible (like "a person's shadow is on their neck" horrible). Distorted pixelated shadow on all my games this is also from the first time I bought it

I have the same laptop, except with a 960M.

I don't have these games, so cannot speak from personal experience.

But in the first video about GTAV he is running 900p @30fps. Which is fine for most people. I'm still impressed.

But it's not like he is getting 1080p@60fps at ultra.

You might be hitting thermal throttling if you can't get same? I doubt it is using your Intel GPU because then you would only get like single digit fps.

that is completely acceptable i'd play at that resolution and at that fps anytime. but i can't, my laptop is incapable of playing the default settings in the game or the recommended settings in geforce experience. I can't play any of this games on the settings they showed above without texture distortion or frame lag and at most 20 FPS which is completely unplayable for me

Texture distortion? What's this?

I would expect blurriness from a lower than native resolution.

20fps is unplayable. Note in GTA V he didn't have everything maxed out, like shadows.

Also his frametimes would probably look pretty bad, I would expect the min FPS to suffer quite a bit too.

Also, you could be hitting thermal throttling. He might have a cold room, extra cooling pads etc.

true blurriness is okay with me but my problem is i would love to play the game at a playable framerate i said 20 fps max meaning about 14-15 on regular, 10 on heavy graphics scenes + random framerate drop on GTA V that is completely unplayable by any standard. i have an extra cooling pad and a really cool air conditioner freshly cleaned. most modern games are completely unplayable on native resolution with ultra settings

by texture distortion I mean jagged texture and shadows appearing in places they shouldn't be
happens on all games hitman absolution, wolfenstein the new order, day of defeat, injustice gods among us. The only game that didn't get affected is plants vs zombies (I think that would be obvious) and old star wars games.
