The shipment left from the same destination all my other shipments have. The orders prior to this one have always been 2Day Air. This one is ground.
I know how shipping works. I ship a ton of stuff every day. Shipping ground works if it's local or within 1-2 day area. If 2day is the ship method and the customer is on the borderline of 2 day destination, you don't ship it ground. You ship it 2Day and flag it as 2Day in the system - this will flag the order as 2Day Air and they do everything in their power to get it to you by the 2Day since that's the ship method you requested/paid for.
alot of companies like newegg depend on 3rd party warehouses and dropshipping for their orders , this can and will cause shipping delays/faults.
since last year amazon started using "smart" post wich uses fedex/usps together , the problem was that the new post master didnt want our usps delivery guys to back-up their cars in driveways since usps apperently a "no back-up" policy.
so after about 5 packages ending up at the usps office and me having to work 6pm to 6-8am i missed quicte a few and it was getting to a point it was just a pain in the you know what to go get my packages at the post office.
i called amazon , raised some &^*^* with them and they changed my preffered shipping to UPS or straight FEDEX without using smart mail , and havent had a problem since...
another reason i love amazon.... great customer service....
That all should be the case normally with Amazon, even without Prime. Prime just offers various discounts and gives free 2-day shipping. Prime is also nice to have cause of their Media content, exclusive shows, etc. too.
And if you get Prime and live in a City that has an Amazon Distribution Center, like Baltimore area for example, you can get your orders in 2-hours or less. The downside to living in area that has an Amazon Distribution Center, is you have to pay tax on Amazon orders.
Amazon Prime has: In addition to Free Two-Day Shipping, Prime members also enjoy access to thousands of movies and TV shows, ad-free music, unlimited photo storage, and Kindle books. And alot of the streaming shows are free to stream across your devices when logged in to that account once you have Prime, similar to how it works when you pay for Netflix. Newegg has none of that. However it you do buy alot per 6-12 month periods with Newegg, Premiere might be worth it to you.
Here are the benefits of both of these paid memberships:
Newegg Premiere[promotions.newegg.com]
Amazon Prime[www.amazon.com]
And everyone can try Prime one time for free via 30-day Trial, just be sure that if u do that trial that u go into your Prime account settings after doing so and opt-out of the auto-renewal or Amazon will charge you the price of Prime service after the 30-day trial ends if you do not opt-out to end your trial which u can do right after starting it, then it doesn't actually end til your 30-day trial ends. As with Prime you have to pay that in full for a year worth of service ($99/year).
If you are a student and would like Newegg for gadgets, OS, software, games, etc. Students at qualifying educational institutions can receive a FREE year of Newegg Premier membership.
