Probably overheating.
Monitor temps with CPUID HWMonitor during gaming, see what the max CPU and GPU temps are like after a crash.
try running
sfc/SCANNOW
from your CMD (administrator)
see what it comes up with....
if it comes up clean scan your memory with memtest
http://www.memtest86.com/
Exception code: 0xc0000005 ----> is almost always an acces violation error , either due to reg keys not good , virus , or bad ram.
I've Done that.
I used MSI afterburner
my GPU never went over 60
and my CPU never went over 60
i did that. says nothing found
That temp seems quite low for a GPU?
What are your specs?
16 GB DDR3 Ram
GTX 970
750 watt
i7 3770 3.2GHz
Asus p8z77-vlx
Windows 10

I recommend you try HWMonitor, because that temp seems ridiculously low for a 970 at full load as a max temp.
how do i even use Memtest?
download the bootable image usb file
unzip it , and there wil be a exe file in there , double click it and it will open a program that will create a bootable usb drive with memtest on it.
Will try that.
once booted it will start up memtest by itself , let it run all the way ...it may take a while....

Hit the download button, download vc_redist.x64 AND vc_redist.x86.exe. On the installation prompts uninstall the old ones and reinstall the ones you just downloaded. This fixes alot of the .dll problems, at least it did for me, and maybe worth trying.
Uninstall all your NVIDIA Drivers & Software and reboot as needed. Then use DDU Tool[www.wagnardmobile.com] to further remove any left overs and temp junk (do the DDU part in Safe Mode).
After DDU is done in Safe Mode, reboot OS normally, then clean install latest NVIDIA Drivers:

If this still occurs, you need to verify that all your RAM is good. As that can easily cause this if faulty. And faulty RAM does not always cause system crashes right away. If RAM all checks out ok, uninstall everything on your system for the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtimes and .NET Framework, reboot after all are removed. then reinstall them from here:
Visual C++ ~ 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013; both x86 & x64 versions are needed
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2977003
Visual C++ 2015
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145
*For VC Runtimes, just get the ones called "Redistributable Packages" for each version.
.NET Framework
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48137
*For Win10 Users; to remove .NET Framework you need to go to Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows Features On/Off and deselect all .NET and ASP Framework entries. After un-ticking them, click OK, wait til it is complete, then reboot. After the reboot, repeat the process and tick all them again for .NET and ASP for all versions.
DirectX Runtimes

*Extract to a temp folder (such as C:\DX) and then go to there and right click DXSETUP.EXE and click Run As Admin.
