Is this CPU a bottleneck to my GPU

Here are my specs,

Motherboard -- ASRock FM2A88M-HD+
CPU -- AMD A8-5600K (80 °C / 176 °F Average when doing normal things) (100 °C / 212 °F Average when playing games)
GPU -- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 4GB ASUS (Okay temperature)
Display -- LED MONITOR (1920x1080@60Hz)
RAM -- 8 GB
Power Supply -- Corsair RM850i

Also, additional info, I have had this CPU for about over 2 years, and I hear a loud fan noise coming from my computer, even though my gpu is very new, and I thought my old gpu was the problem, I am not exactly sure if a cpu could make that noise, if anything could give their opinion, I would gladly appreciate that

Unplug the fan and check. If you can't plug it back in just shut it down. It will take a couple minutes to heat up unless it is under heavy usage.

Is it the stock heatsink? Is it probably the thermal paste that comes on the it. With time and high temps it can get hard and stop being effective.

The cpu is fine. They run hot though. You would be better off with the 860k since you don't use the apu. It would be a very small upgrade.

Would a intel i5 with a new motherboard that supports it, be a wise choice? as that can be a future option, I'm not much of a computer person, I don't mind these temperatures and so on, but would the cpu be holding down the gpu? it's on 100% every core. (When I play very heavy games)

If you can, get an Intel CPU. Even the i3 4150 is better than your CPU. If you have some cash to spare, get an i5 4440 and a MSI B85 MoBo or equivalent. There will be noticeable increase in performance, and your bill will also decrease somewhat. The average temp will then decrease to 30 c (idle) 60 c (Load). It may decrease more further if you decide to add a non-stock cooler, and the noise, while won't be gone, will be a LOT less.
