Monitor Flickering, Says no Signal.
Recently installed a GTX 970, all works fine until a few days ago, my monitoe is displaying .No Signal' and the monitor has recently started to flicker. I tested intensive games to see if it's my GPU. Nothing happens, all stays in ordinary FPS ranges, and doesn't stuter or freeze. However, while I was playing Legend of Grimrock 2, the screen began to flicker. At this point the game was paused. I could still navigate the menu as the monitor flickered and said no signal. I changed my HDMI cable with a newer one, problem still persists. My monitor is about 6 - 8 years old now.

My concern is that it could be my GPU, CPU or PSU, but nothing seems out of the ordinary apart from this.

Any advice on how to resolve this would much appreciated, as this computer is not only a gaming computer, but also used for my WORK. Thanks.

Try connecting the PC to your TV or another monitor and see if it still does it. It's probably the monitor if it's so old.
Was the 970 the ONLY thing you changed? Cables, software, drivers, etc.

The 970 was literally the only thing I changed. I recently got a new driver for the GPU, but it was happening before that.

the first GTX 970 i bought had a faulty HDMI port (EVGA ACX 2.0). try plugging it in a different monitor / display. or while it's running apply some pressure on the HDMI plug on the gpu to see if the flickering stops / happens. this was the exact same issue i had with mine. it could very well be an issue with the HDMI port on your display//

Applied pressure to both ports, nothing happened and remained normal. I'm completely clueless right now :/.

It's complicated, I got it through my University with this John Plus Books Card, thus it was free.

call the maufacturer and find out via it's s/n. i've bought a couple 2nd hand GPU's that didn't come with a Box or receipt and they still honored the warranty. XFX, MSI and Asus. not one asked for proof of purchase. only a serial number. Good luck!

you need to get a hold of the manufacturer and see if they will exchange it for you. i think they offer a 1 year warranty on stuff like this. it's best to call or email them about it and provide a serial number of the product which should be a sticker located on the PCB. or on the box itself.

This person had the same issue and when they RMA'd him a different GPU the issues stopped.
