full keyboard with hall effect switches or optical without gamer aesthetics if possible

so my brothers keyboard is double clicking, and he decided it's enough that he may as well get a new one, he doesn't like gamer aesthetics.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to where to even start looking.

because of issues that mechanical keyboards get given time, he wants to avoid traditional switches as much as possible, but if he can get some where he can hot swap switches when they act up, that's good.

he also saw hall effect switches but I only know of one brand and he is iffy on if he should trust it, so if there are other options that would be great

and I mentioned optical switches, what I would move to if my keyboard gave up, and he is interested in those, but razer is the only one that doesn't have gamer aesthetics on the keyboard itself, but I have a bad track record with razor and their lazers, so i'm iffy on that recommend.

so, anyone got some recommendations for anything or places I can look? most of what I know moved from full keyboards to 10key less and that's a hard pass for him.

It's not technically mechanical, but the buckling springs under each key make a satisfying sound with some wonderfully tactile feedback. I got one for the office so everyone around me can hear how hard I'm working. It's a joy to type on.

if he likes his keyboard get a can of air remove key cap depress switch with the straw attachment and spray inside all 4 corners of switch.kinda tilt can an let some of the canned air liquid hit
inside switch for the stubborn keys.kept my razer keyboard alive for years doing this.

He is probably going to try doing this first, but there are some other things wrong with his keyboard that he would like solved, I think the volume wheel it has has been broken for a long time as one. The thing still functions like a keyboard, but he is looking at something different from what he currently has.

im sure he would like that, while it was fresh at least, however the reason he is looking at other keyboards now is because he wants to trust the keypresses, which is why hall effect or optical are what he is looking at, with a possible how swap switch keyboard so when a problem switch happens he can easily take it out and repair, or just replace entirely without soldering.

Steelseries does hall effect switches.
Their keyboards and switches are good quality from what I've seen, no reason to doubt.

Razer, Wooting, and Corsair do optical switches.
The former two are good, can't speak to Corsairs switches, and their build quality on it.

You COULD make your own/gift for him, but it would cost A LOT of money, not really worth doing unless you are an enthusiast.

I have considered this, but at the same time I cant find good diy keyboard bases that are actually full keyboards, 40 and 60 are the best I can find, and even then, at a reasonably high cost.
