Ryzen 3600 temps while gaming
What are the temps u guys get when playing heavy games? im using stock cooling atm and my temps jump from 75c to 85 then back to 76 ish. Is this safe? like it doesnt stay above 80 above but its a short burst.

You have nothing to worry about.

If it was like 90c + then it would be concerning as is the cooler even running, thermal paste good.
If you overclocked this could be another reason.

Handy hint, ryzen clocks increase as cpu runs cooler.

I'll reiterate the non x variety of 3600 has an awful stock cooler common knowledge across the Internet.

depends on the game and background tasks

you can adjust the cpu fan profile in bios
20-50% at 60c to 100% at 80-90c if good enough

its probably going to 80c, fan turns up, cools, then fan slows and repeat
its working properly
It's fine. Safe up to 95. Spikes happen on lots of chips. My 7700k can spike 10 degrees when I open new programs and do other new stuff as it tries to maximise performance as quickly as possible.
It's normal on the stock cooler, the stealth cooler is pretty crap

as long as its not damaging anything im fine
recently played around with air-flow in my case and realized I had the stock cooler ^^ thought it was the wraith spire of my previous R5 1600.

its been like this for about 2 years so yeeah. stock is ok with good airflow. been looking for a tower-cooler and its actually hard to find something that doesnt have to be mounted fan facing upwards oO

hyper tx 3 evo can do it (that is from 2011 lul)

Slightly different CPU and slightly different cooler, but on my Ryzen 7 3700X, when I was using the stock cooling, it'd go up to upper 70C to lower 80C range as a maximum. It will also bounce around as the load varies.

Your values are safe; warm but safe. The stock coolers for Zen 2 are sufficient. You won't get the best results from them but there's nothing dangerous or unusual about those results. If you want some combination of lower temperatures, lower noise, and/or higher boost, consider aftermarket solutions.
Ryzen 5 3600 has a tdp of 65w. Shouldn't take much to cool it. Might be able to change the cpu fan curve in the bios also. The temperatures aren't bad.
the stock cpu cooler on the 3600 is really bad. when i built my wifes computer and did a stress test the cpu would hit 85c so i switched the cooler to a coolermaster 212 i had and the temps were 70c

You have nothing to worry about.

If it was like 90c + then it would be concerning as is the cooler even running, thermal paste good.
If you overclocked this could be another reason.

how about the standard XFR boost? 90+ C is not an issue at all. The chipe can handle more and there plenty security features that would kick in befor it would take damage.

However XFR boost will raise the clockrate as high as possible in form of an auto overclock depenind on the temprature. So the CPu will overclock itself unless XFR boost is disabled

There's a lot more than just temperature because since Zen2 there's a huge swath of other factors aside from temperature and workload. Chipset drivers, OS version, BIOS, etc. all have a hand in it.

Heath management of the chip (aka Silicon FITness) is the largest factor in boost because the chip can be damaged by voltage at higher levels of current draw, so the higher the current, the lower the voltage, which is why multi and all-core clocks are generally much lower on Ryzen in particular than the max boost clock that AMD advertises, which applies to a single core as always.

Manual OC or raised scalar (through overdrive) can be hazardous to 7nm Ryzen over time and many users damaged their chips doing so because they weren't happy with stock clocks and decided to push it without realizing how bad the risks are.
