Those things have cartridges or something right? Maybe a broken cartridge is stuck in a part of the top of case and you cant see it and it's leaking out?

There can't be an infinite amount, so just keep cleaning it up.

You're going to have to clean the hell out of everything, and never ever vape around a PC.

I vape (properly, no ecig stuff...like with a box mod, rda/rta, build my own coils out of wire etc) and I'm telling you that you don't need to even spill oil inside the case, the vape alone will stick to things and build up residue and condensation. It was probably vaped around, pulled through the fans, and now everything must be cleaned. Everything.

Don't vape or smoke near electronics, especially ones with intake fans like PCs because the vapours/smoke will get pulled in and just accumulate on everything.

You can google "smoker's PC" and see a lot of images on the results that cigarette smoke has on PCs. Vaping will give a similar result but just not as outwardly nasty, but it still leaves a sticky film on everything and it's just not good for it. Stuff like that at the very least will kill fans, which can leave to overheating components, and possibly with enough accumulation it could cause other issues with the components and in the worst case end up being a contributing factor in killing components.

e-cig juice is toxic
2nd for ^ escrove, dont use that anywhere near electronics
even e-cig 2nd hand smoke in a laptop can kill it

I don't allow my pc to smoke at all not even vaping, caught my psu smoking once,.. fired the godamm thing straight away and got another,... not in my house!!

Even 2nd smoke kill, I wouldn't do that to my family

other then small amounts of darker/brown dust i'v noticed nothing from smoking cigarettes at my pc desk for over 5 years now,no "sticky substance" like escrove has said
googling images of "smoker pc's" results in 2005-2010 computers that have never been cleaned
it's a pretty "over exaggerated" claim case.

i'v had the same case, gpu, fans, cooler, psu for nearly 6 years at this point
the only things i have replaced was my motherboard and cpu like a year or so ago
due to them just being outdated, while it's not "good" for the pc, it seems very unlikely to
actually ruin anything unless you quite literally never clean your computer, ever

all i do is get some compressed air once or twice a year and clean it,
these pictures are of 10+ year old computers that just never ever got cleaned,

if you are a normal person, this isn't going to effect components
nearly as much as other lead you to believe here,

iv seen plenty of dead desktops and laptops from smokers

the tar does not just accumulate on fans, but on cases, mobo and everywhere
good filters can help, but the fine dust particles stick to everything
enough dust/smoke can conduct, and the tar can eat away at solder and pcb traces

this is after someone else tried to clean and fix it

didn't say it "couldn't happen" it's just very unlikely if you actually care about your pc.

if you smoke heavily and never clean it ever, after 5+ years then yeh?

what i said originally

^ the laptop was 3 years old at that time
2016 laptop, vid made in 2019

many smokers dont care for their pc hardware
e-cig juice doesnt have the tar, but does have many other chemicals that can harm electronic components

Most people don't take care of their electronics or even dust them at all

Then there is a recess or cavity that still has gunk in it. Gravity being what it is, it should be somewhere above the place you keep finding oil. Best to take off all the plastic trimmings, trays and anything else detachable and really clean it. Spending an hour now is better than working hours more to afford new hardware.

Or toss it and buy a new case. Sometimes something free is still too expensive.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capillary_action

if you dont clean it all up a reservoir of liquid will slowly drain, as it wicks to nearby areas making everything else wet

(water wicks, but will evaporate faster than wick in a non humid environment)
e-cig juice is oil based, will not evaporate without alot of heat
