Steam Deck and Stylus
Hi, I would like to know how will the Steam Deck support stylus, as for drawing. I' d found Krita very magic (even in its Android version) and I was wondering how good will it work on Deck's hardware.
Is the screen "capacitive"? Will it work within a Stylus like the Nvidia Shield Tablet's one? Or will it need a Stylus with bluethoot connection or other kinds?
The optically bounded screen makes me guess how fine would it be as in sensitivity (as it's even "thicker").
Does someone have tried it?
Regards :). And thanks for all the kind support.

it has the 2 touchpads, no touch screen

its not a smartphone or tablet, why would you want to put your hand in the way of the display?

No... it gave you the ability to answer your own question instead of waiting over 3hrs for an answer here.

I know it's hard to believe that you can do your own research within a very short time frame, but it's true.

It does have a touchscreen, so the real question is why would you answer a question when you didn't know the answer?

The real question is why couldn't the OP click on any of these:

Maybe so he doesn't have to sit through 90% of material he doesnt need just to get the 10% of material he did.

No, you're right.... waiting hours for a personalized response instead of literally typing the question into Google and knowing the answer in less than two minutes makes far more sense.

He the one that waited and you're the one that's angry. How does that happen?

Who's angry? Just pointing out that people can help themselves. No need to go full on white knight and protect them from reality.

The Steam Deck has a regular capacitive touch screen, so you can use any stylus meant for something like a smart phone, tablet, or Nintendo Switch just fine.

Yep, thanks :): hope someone on YT will even try it, the only one I saw (throught a previous trashing research) was "the one" suggesting something like the worst stylus ever (the one within a trasparent plastic around the tip).
The one from the Shield is just great imho within its soft rubber tip, and no wi-fi or bluethoot needs.
Thanks again, and if I' ll see a video showing drawing on Deck, I will post it.

In this video he says the touch screen refresh ratio is like 20Hz, (not the screen refresh which is 60) so it seems kinda too slow for drawing within a stylus (yet I'd like to see using Nvidia's Tablet one as pen - as for no bluetooth nor wifi needs)...
