Help with Ram for AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D/ASUS ROG Strix B650E-I

I'm finally upgrading my old Intel Core i7-7700K PC and I could use some help with the Ram.

DDR5-6000MHz CL 30 has been thrown around as a sweet spot in a couple of places.

Anyone have this and have tested?

Why is there no ddr 5 6000mhz expo cl 28 26 24? They seemed of of stopped at CL30? latency > bandwidth for gaming.

its the limits of the memory.....below 30 is almost impossible at these speeds and timings.....

So I put in an order for 7800X3D annd ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-I GAMING WIFI(on sale, good price) so far and I'll order the rest after the weekend. I saw these and though maybe they would be perfect? 6000MHz and CL28.

When you get the board can you please tell what is the default RAM speed speed without activating EXPO?

Nice ram i had heard about this as per the above post by smokerrob they now are making 6000 cl28. 6000mhz is the absoloute max on AM5 for latency and games so the only way we can really get more fps is lower latency.


I dont have the ram clearance personally. I think i regret my 4000d size wise for ram etc. I got the cl36 low profile 6000mhz expo.
