I'd go for a higher watt PSU. Sure it may work but

CPU may not be able to boost as high and/or for as long as it could.

PSU may need replacing if you were to upgrade to something that required more power, for example a future CPU or GPU

A PSU is more efficient when they aren't maxed out all the time

for that money ($550) you get a better 40's series . . . blatant rip-off, as these cards arent manufactured anymore . . .

alone a RTX 4060 costs about 300 EUR ONLY or less . . . 4060 Ti about 400 EUR . . .
A 4060 Ti is about 80% better and has a WAY more stable Ray Tracing, DLSS and stuff, than an outdated / obsolete 2060 . . .

For $550 you even get 2x 4060 GPU FACTORY NEW cards for SLI mode . . .

P.s.:
PSU 80+ Bronze is "BAD" . . you need 80+ GOLD ...

Sorry, I didn't specify what I was upgrading from my old PC, that's my bad. I already own a 2060 and my cpu super slow. The only things I've changed from my current pc on pcpartpicker is the processor and the motherboard.

Get the 12600KF instead and use the price difference to get decent gold certified 750W PSU.
Better either way then slowly decaying and bugged Intel 13th and 14th gen.

tx550m is an older model

i would go for a newer 650+w psu for the build
newer gold rated would be more efficient

and newer designs have more wattage to the 12v rails, less to the minor rails

First, I would like to note that the 12600kf only costs $146 presently[www.amazon.com], or $139 if you manage to snag the Prime deal in the next five hours, and you are not gaining very much performance buying a 13600kf over it. I also question the wisdom of a 2060 at this point in time, unless you found a good secondhand deal.

Second, LGA 1700 uses a different mounting system than previous generation intel sockets, so yeah, you need to get yourself a C.P.U. cooler. I’d say nab yourself either a Darkrock PX4[www.amazon.com] on Jays2cents’ recommendation if you’re highly price sensitive, or a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 S.E. for $30[www.amazon.com] otherwise. The Peerless Assassin is more than worth the extra $15 in terms of how much better it cools and competes relatively well with higher priced coolers.

Third, Corsair has a guide on determining the recommended wattage of a power supply[www.corsair.com].

The equation given is C.P.U. T.D.P + G.P.U. T.D.P. + 150 for auxilary peripherals and components + 150 of overhead for efficiency and upgrades. You can dip into that last 150 since it’s just overhead.

The rating of a power supply is supposed to represent sustained power draw. Peak power draw during an excursion should be approximately 30% higher for a typical power supply, so you don’t concern yourself with that.

A 550 watt power supply should be able to handle those components. You only have 60 watts of overhead by my estimation though, so if you’re buying a new power supply, corsair’s recommendation is 650 watts.

Best Buy and Walmart are selling the E.V.G.A. 650 W 80+ Bronze P.S.U. for just $49 on clearance[pcpartpicker.com], which quite frankly, is a pretty good price for a P.S.U. of that wattage coming from a reputable brand.

He’s upgrading an existing system, so I assume that’s the P.S.U. Golden Trolz already has, and the cheapest P.S.U. is the P.S.U. you already own.

$212 is definitely overpriced for any 550 watt power supply though. Also, if it was bought that long ago, I would also recommend an upgrade even if the wattage suffices. Capacitors just don’t last forever, and especially not those from the capacitor plague era[en.wikipedia.org] (1997 through to 2007). I do not advise using a P.S.U. built in the capacitor plague era.

Yeah, but it seems pretty obvious he doesn't know how. I mean, upgrading a system necessitates reusing at least one of the old parts, and none of them are marked as purchased. Not even the case. Plus the kingston drive is listed as no prices available suggesting it's an off the market product.
