GPU hotspot hot

The hotspot for my GPU is at 92. Should i do something about that?

Isnt the hot spot thermal limit of a 3070 somewhere between 105 and 110?
Looks fine to me. Everything under 100 degrees celsius for the hot spot and a max of 20 degrees celsius difference between hot spot and global is just fine.

Youre good.

have you changed the paste? usually they suck
also check the fan curve if you have an app for that because auto sucks and should never be used

I didn't touch any fan settings for the GPU. Also, i wouldn't know how (the paste). Like, take the GPU apart to change the paste?

I setup a custom fan speed. See how that goes.

Get Liquid Cooling for a gamer PC.
Fans are for Linux Boxes running 2D games and occasional online stuff.
If you're not knowledgeable in PCs and want to change the thermal paste take it to a shop, have them do it.

Rule of Thumb: Set Fans to 100% at 60C and 50% at 40C.

Unless you have $2000 to drop on a new PC every 2 years, some people do and don't care.

You can also find high CFM fans for GPUs, "direct replacement", but not originals from mfg..
Some replacements require re-paste, others do not, depending how your card is put together.
Again, recommended you take it to a tech., for the fans swap, it's not for the faint of heart.

My fans are always spinning there's no way in hell I want 0% at any time. I'm sure the fans fail from time to time but I've never seen it with any of my own builds so it's not a concern. As far as acoustics go my tower is on the desk and the noise is minimal to practically nonexistent. When I'm playing a particularly demanding game well I have headphones on so that takes care of that.

Your system specs would be helpful but I see your mins are looking pretty high @ 57.0C gpu and 68.7C gpu hotspot respectively whereas by comparison my mins are 30.7 and 38.7. I'm wondering if you've got an airflow issue in that case of yours that might be contributing to the increased temps because even at min your gpu fan speed is over 1900 rpm.

I have 3 color case fan in front, pulling. And i have one in the back pushing. I don't think the airflow in front is very good, it's mainly just... colorful.

Do you have recommendations for setting up case fans? Inside the case is fine, all the wires are behind the motherboard.

just go here instead it contains the answer of what you are worried about

https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/gigabyte-rtx-3070-hotspot-temperature.3756380/

to be honest nvidia and amd should have kept the hotspot temperature hidden yes it could help if there are mounting problems but people loose their shi t when they see it

That link tried opening an application.

I did lookup GPU repasting. Seems relatively simple enough, i can do this.

Question is should i actually worrk about hot spot temperatures? I'm sorta waiting for the 5000s to update.
