24.3.1 Why?
Only update drivers if the current one gives you problems.
My conditions are special and I am a Computer Expert.
Check what the update does and if it applies to any crippling condition you may have at present time, otherwise ignore it.
23.11.1, solely because starting with 23.12.1, an awkward behavior started for me in Minecraft (with shaders). What happens is the GPU seems to try and lock itself to 80% utilization, and then adjust the frequency (I am guessing?) to keep itself at 80% whatever the load is, because I only see it move from 80% if it either fully loads the card, or if it goes the other way and is idle. This has odd performance implications compared to how it performs with 23.11.1 and prior. This only occurs when playing with v-sync on (no clue about with VRR, but with v-sync off, of course it doesn't happen as the card just runs to its maximum potential).

I haven't tried every single driver version since then, but 23.12.1 and one of the early 24.x.x versions had the same behavior (and the 24.x.x one had sluggish Adrenalin response), so I've reserved myself to staying on 23.11.1 for now. Not a big deal for me (as long as 23.11.1 works with all stuff I try and do, that is) since I had to the same thing with my previous video card. nVidia broke traditional anti-aliasing in Minecraft after version 373.06 and I stayed on those drivers to keep using it for like... years and years. I'll probably try a new version sometime later this year (maybe when I change my CPU/motherboard/RAM and need to reinstall the OS), but for now, 23.11.1 works well for me.

I also follow Ancient Gampleys and his drivers tests and benchmark.
I’m not sure if I had any problems with the latest drivers but I went back to the previous one just in case - 24.5.1

Amazing YT channel. Highly recommended.

yeah, he was the one to addressed that problem(heavy stutters due a "cache" thing, he explained it all very well already) in the latest driver and also recommended to roll back which i did and now i have no problems!
23.11.1. Rock solid on my 7900xt. Only going to update once a new game comes out that requires it.
