You could connect your phone to a USB-C laptop charger (20 volts, 3.25 amps) and it will only feed it 9 volts, 1 amp if that is what the phone takes.
they default to 5v, until the device asks for higher voltage
So my Amiga 500 mini is fine to be powered by a fast charger cable?
but to enable qc/fc the device needs to talk to the charger using the usb data wires
a charge only cable will not allow fast charge (higher voltage) since they do not have the data wires, limiting to 5v@2.5a or whatever current the charger is limited to
Phones and Tablets only do 5V; the difference in Watts is determine by the max Amps that both the Charger and Cable could support (thicker cables are better for higher amps due to typically having thicker gauged wiring inside) and then the max that the actual device supports.
The recommended Power for AMIGA 500 MINI is 5 Volts @ 3 Amps; minimum
So if using an off-the-shelf Phone charger, then it needs to be able to output AT LEAST that much, which is 15 Watts. Basically any Samsung Phone /Tablet Wall Charger from 2020 onward should have no problem doing that much, if not more. More can't hurt the device since the device has it's own limitations and can't exceed that. Make sure you use a USB DataSync Cable and that's it's rather thick; not the thicker after-market braided cables you can buy. Do not buy thin charging cables from places like K-Mart, 7-Eleven, CVS, Walgreens.
