How do I get LTE Wifi
so, basically

I have an affordable data plan for my phone with two sim cards.
I would like to use one of them in a router to be able to have 4G or ideally 5G wifi (my data plan is 5G).
It appears however that all the devices are several hundred dollars.

Technically, I just need one for my PC, not as an actual Wifi for several devices

So, is there some affordable (ideally below 100€) device that will allow me to use a sim card for connecting to the internet on my computer?

what are some specs I should be looking for in such a device if I don't want the enthusiast's prefered model but good performance nonetheless?

kind regards

Joe

change your firmware and verizon or whoever may block you from their service.
if you can because i know they can block firmware changes.
you'd need a reprogrammer for them.
lol
tell that to all the chinese and taiwanese engineers that reverse engineer products and re-purpose them and write their own firmware
he don't live in china and its easy to detect changes in firmware, especially settings. im very sure verizon scrapes all that from you.
and nothing is gonna let him get passed the sim.

also that is what they use to reverse engineer, a reprogrammer.

no it is not
if the modded firmware reports back the same thing that the orig firmware would, the connecting service would have no idea

their engineers do use 're-programmer', or better known as eeprom reading and flasher tools
to pull the stock firmware and then recode it and flash it back to the device and test and repeat

Just get a 5G Home Internet modem from TMobile if available. Unlimited 5G Data for around $30-50/month

no ♥♥♥♥.
stop techsplaining to me. there is no need.
if this if that. if yourself.
plus there is such a thing as hash which is encrypted into the hardware.

why would you want lte when 6GHz is out? also i really doubt they will let their mobile network go through your network.
you'd need a specific type of router from verizon or others to do that. and it acts as your provider

WRONG....many routers can use the USB port to support tethering and even stand alone cell access....it depends on hardware used but my router has had it for years.....

You can connect your phone to your PC with USB tethering, and Wifi tethering for the rest. It is not perfect, but there is no need to spend money for it.

Well, the other option is to look around for a PCIe card.

the amount of telemetry that pingned me from sketchy companies says otherwise.

thats when your phone is acting as a modem.
your phone will heat up like crazy when you do that.
its not "going through the network"
its giving you access to the net from the hotspot.
you'll have a lot of NAT issues that way cuz its no longer "your network" but theirs.

I don't care what they tell you. It is the internet anyway... lol

OK so block it; it's that simple. Why do people complain and/or make all of this harder then it has to be. That telemetry/data collection has nothing to do with NVIDIA tweaking your settings or game profiles; you simply made that up or heard it from someone other idiot.
