Windows XP game controller on windows 11?
I have a few old controllers for racing Sims that only work until windows XP.

I would like to use them in Windows 10 or 11 but they are not (fully) recognised by W11.

I find them under devices and can open the properties but I can't calibrate or use them as a generic game controller.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

getting something modern would be a good step

some can be made to run if they have a software package.....you run the software in XP compatibility mode......if no software not good odds it will work.....

If by Windows XP game controller you mean a 15-pin gameport controller, look into a USB to gameport adapter.

you can get a cheap flysky pistol grip controller, and use its usb cable
it shows up in joy.cpl

https://www.amazon.com/XTD-FS-GT2B-Controller-Transmitter-Receiver/dp/B07KY8FNYS

enjoy

i have used my drone fs i6x on pc with emulators and other stuff, 10+ axis output
https://www.amazon.com/DTXMX-FS-i6X-Transmitter-Controller-Helicopter/dp/B0B3R1K9KC/ref=sr_1_6

you cannot calibrate it using windows, only the controllers menus and trim pots

After much research I've decided to buy a flysky Nobel NB4 and use a USB cable. Others also use it in sim-racing. Thanks!

All that generally means is you need to download a working driver and manually install that by pointing to the unpacked driver files from within device manager.

Even if all it has is an old 32bit XP Driver, that should technically work even under OS' such as Win10/11. It just so happens these OS obviously do not already have a driver on-hand to auto install for said device is all.
