CPU Upgrade to Pair with RTX 4070

I recently upgraded to a 4070 but have still yet to upgrade from my i5 12400f. It still seems to keep up well enough but I'm starting to see signs of needing more power. Most games still run decently enough but I've recently been getting into large modlists for skyrim and fallout 4 as well as doing some heavy video editing with Adobe Premier Pro and I'm definitely noticing a lack of performance. What's a good upgrade that stays with the LGA 1700 socket that will give me a nice boost in the things I mentioned. I'd like to stay between 200 and 300 dollars if possible.

I actually think an RTX 4070 and a 12400f might be well paired. They're both meant to be mid-range products and released only about a year apart. I mean the 12400f is on the lighter side of mid tier, but gaming is, as a rule of thumb, more G.P.U. intensive anyway.

Also, what resolution are you playing at anyway?

I agree with the rest, the RTX 4070 is a good match with the i5 12400F, especially when you're playing at 1440P (assuming at high-max in-game setting) where more stress is is placed on the GPU. 6C/6T is still quite serviceable for modern games, look to spend your money on other parts of your rig.
