2K monitor?
My new build is on the way, and actually I have a 1080p monitor...
Suggestions about a monitor (preferably 27") to couple with a 4070TI Super?
Thanks!

Best monitors ive owned even over ones 2 times this price no BLB great blacks for ips
(due in part to no BLB) vivid colors and smooth as butter from 60-144hz.i now own the
28inch 4k version now as well.unbeatable IMO.i paid 400-500 for them and they are
still worth every penny i spent.and a ips with no BLB is almost unheard of.
i own 4 of these 3 @1440 and 1 @4k..great contrast as well they come in at about 500nits+
much higher than they are rated.

Mh, on Amazon delivery in 3-7 months... Thanks for the suggestion, but I will search for an alternative :)
Cooler Master Tempest GZ2711 27” 144hz freesync premium O.L.E.D.[www.amazon.com] $556

If you're a cheapo burn-in-wuss they also make a GP2711 165hz Quantum Dot V.A. panel[www.amazon.com] monitor.

Legend has it that your C.P.U. will run 5 degrees cooler at any given framerate if you use a coolermaster monitor. :-P

Seriously though, Cooler Master seems to have entered my radar as a competent manufacturer of monitors a few years ago. The particular models that caught my eye then were the GP27U[www.amazon.com] and the GP27Q[www.amazon.com], but I don't see the point in spending $550 for an older quantum dot I.P.S. monitor when you can just spend $5 and get a newer O.L.E.D. Looks like the Amazon reviews for those models tanked since I last checked come to think of it though, but that doesn't look applicable to their newer ones.

I'm not so sure about these specific models but I mean, and also it's a brand that's well known and old enough to be held accountable for its failures at the very least.

Make the world a better place and stop calling 1440p "2K" like an idiot........

There's a reason for it. 1440p technically refers to the [vertical] resolution. 2k refers to the [horizontal] resolution. You can have a 1440p ultra wide screen that is more like 5k. This terminology excludes that. Still though, 1080p is technically closer to 2k than 16:9 1440p. 16:9 1440p is more like 2.5k, pushing 2.6k.

People should stop calling "4k" 4k though. The U.H.D. resolution typically referred to as 4k isn't even 4000 pixels wide. 2160p would be more accurate.

Edit: >_< I got my directions dun mixed up like a goof. Fixed.

4070 ti S has 16GB VRAM so a decent 4K monitor should be fine
unless you play Fartnite and cs
I recently bought an LG 27GR83Q and it looks great. only issue for me is that I was playing a lot of helldivers 2 at night and the backlight was really apparent in that setting but during the day in a decently lit room the picture quality is very very nice.

Do you want hdr? If so you need hdr 1000 minimum. HDR 400 and 600 are fake and crap.

imo with the way Windows handles HDR, it's not worth ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around with much less paying for.
That's a nice thing about xbox, you only do a fraction of the calibration of PC for it to look good, and it turns HDR on and off automatically. Plus 4K HDR 1000 TVs cost a fraction of HDR 1000 monitors
msi mag optix qrf-qd 27" 1440p 165hz monitor. have been using this one whenever I'm browsing and have a lot of static elements on my screen.
