no.....CPUs were changed and that is the real problem why there is even a CPU list for 11......
Don't need one. You download the Windows 11 iso from their website[www.microsoft.com] then you make bootable U.S.B. installation media using Rufus[rufus.ie]. A U.S.B. install will probably go by faster too once you have the media ready.
No ISO needed
No Rufus needed ..
..hit "Create Windows 11 Installation Media"
We don't use those; plus you'd have to buy a DVD+R 9GB to make a Win10/11 install media.
It's like $4-5 for a 16GB USB Flash Drive. Or USB Card Read w/ MicroSD card slot and use an existing MicroSD card if you have one.
Download the full Win11 ISO from the Microsoft official Win11 website.
Download RUFUS and make the bootable USB drive with Rufus and point it to the ISO file.
That's the dumb and slow way. That still downloads the ISO and takes up double the space to do it.
Just download the bare ISO file. Easy-peasy.
And again, ensure to install your OS to an SSD, not a HDD.
It is a free upgrade when doing a clean install; you just input your Win10 key.
Do people still not know this?
The Windows Media Creation Tool does the very same as the ISO + Rufus combo, which is heavily unneccessary . . . !! As so is even faster. Windows Media Creation Tool does even delete and remove all temp files and data. All in less than 5 clicks . . . !!
Windows Media Creation Tool formats the USB stick correctly, downloads setup files and copies them onto the just formatted USB Stick... All done in just a few clicks, and 100% compatible !! All data is automatically deleted after the USB Stick is set up.
"YOUR" Rufus thingy takes way more time ...
You need to FIND and to download the CORRECT ISO, you need to download Rufus, you need to SETUP Rufus and by doing a mistake the USB Boot and the Windows Setup wont work, and then afterwards Rufus copies Windows Setup files onto the USB Stick if all has been successfully edited before ... While all files are still existent and not deleted afterwards.
So YOUR suggestion is that one which you claim about the Media Creation Tool.
The absolute opposite .. !!
For beginners, people which are NOT tech savy, this ISO + Rufus combo is the most confusing part and highly NOT recommended.
The Windows Media Creation Tool is the way to go here . . . !!
Enjoy your report !!
I am tech savy, I format my USB Sticks "MANUALLY" through CMD, setup multiple "PARTITIONS" for various Windows Versions and Editions on this single USB Stick. For that, I download the major Enterprise ISO version through the Media Creation Tool and I download the major All-in-One ISO from Microsoft, then to modify "VARIOUS" installation files (WIM, SWM, ESD) and to copy them onto my formatted USB Stick with 4 Partitions mostly. For example deleting all N-Edtions but add all other Editions for a fresh Windows Install . . . It so will include Enterprise, Professional, Home as well as Education, Pro Education, Pro for Workstations and what else ... A partition for W11, W10, W7, and Linux. And an extra (hidden) Partition for tools, drivers and stuff . . .
No YUMI needed with virtual loaders, no UUI needed . . . all done via Windows' CMD.
And Rufus also did add a virtual environment before . . . So it is NEVER a "CLEAN" install.
You have no idea what you are talking about !! But to suggest ISO + Rufus for a beginner and to call me out "dumb" and "slow" . . .
The most USB Boot Softwares as YUMI and Rufus add a virtual environment to boot up the USB Stick. But this ALL is NOT needed anymore ... Not even for UNIX/Linux Deployments.
For Admins, the WIndows Media Creation Tool is a "POWERFUL" program . . . as same as its counterpart the OfficeDeploymentTool . . . Very powerful with commands . . . and with XML Files . . .
For various Linux Installations and Deployments, I DO NOT need Rufus for it, too ..
WIndows' CMD is all you need, 5 commands, that is all . . .
But this is way too far to catch for you . . . isnt it ?!
Why do you suggest such a complicated / complex workout, if the official Media Creation Tool does EXACT the same, with way less clicks, easier to handle and even cleans out temp files ...
Pff, I have again revealed too much for you . . . I am absolutely disgusted !!
Disgusted about myself as I have showed too much of stuff, and about you and your posted non-sense suggestions all the time ...
Seems good but not correct as you can't download win10 iso anymore without using some stupid trickery (debugg mod on browser and let the web site think you are using a smartphone) :
all is now offert by the jokecompany is now the mediacreation tools
And the iso created using the mediacreationtools and the iso downloaded before does not seems to be the same, at least on size if i remember well, because i let you guess why xd
4.58 go with media creation tools
5.73 go downloade iso
https://i.postimg.cc/QCPcnKbB/Capture.jpg
And if you want to remove many stuff during setup process, just use one of my old post
https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/11/4349988612573450321/?ctp=131#c4406291470266512938 and rufus without any option from rufus as everything is on the xml file you will add
good so have you disabled the cpu graphic part ?
So now use the mediacreation tools because explaining you how to dl iso won't work with you and it will be a waste of time for me xd
choose either w10 or w11 if it's what you want and create the iso with with the tool from ms then check my old post , it should'nt be too hard to understand for you
just use the second link from my post link , the first one will be too complicated for you ....
use rufus to flash your usb key and copy the xml file under it at the same level of the setup.exe
ps ;
better to unplug your network cable during the full setup
