Is steam still usable on windows 7?

I still have the installer from a day before they updated where there was no more support for windows 7. Will I still be able to download and play my games?
I don't need any other steam function as I can do everything else from the phone app or a windows 10 laptop I have.

Gotta sort my PC out at some point as its out of action but don't want to use windows 10 or any more windows OS after.
Windows 7 is perfectly fine and all the games I own work on it.
Neither will I be buying any more games that will need windows 10 in the near future.
I don't really want to have to switch to linux just to play games.

yes, if was previously installed, or you use the old steam.exe
it will work and install steam on win 7, but will no longer get updates

the new installer or steam.exe will not work on win 7

as far as i know, there are people still using xp

you will have to do a few things to make it work

make sure to research anything before you download and install it

Man I would love to go back to XP but there are games that I want to play that just wont work on it. Needs newer DX.
