Advice on used PC with a 4090
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/uVeins/saved/ZBrNyc

Am aware this might not be the right forum for this, but I didn't where else to put it, sorry.

Found this absolute unit of a rig on marketplace for only 3250CAD$, I'm being vary wary of scam, but so far it has seemed legit and he sent videos of boot+part list in windows + a video of a benchmark.

What i need help with right now is what could i do at his place for testing that can help me rule out some nasty, as in are there some benchmarks you would suggest or really anything else.

Also, I know the 7800x3D is a better cpu for this kind of rig, but i'll take it either way lol.

Thanks.

Ask him to run furmark for 5 minutes and measure temps.

For this kind of money you can almost build a brand new 4090 rig with 7800X3D.

It would be impossible to build an entire PC from scratch with new parts with a 4090 and 7800X3D for less then 3500 CAD, don't forget this is canadian dollars.

If you are spending that kind of money then rather spend $500 CAD extra and get AM5 socket then this.
Also rather questionable move to get AM4 socket and 4090 when X3D versions of 9000 series and 5090 are coming out very soon.

Of course I could always get better and better and better, but this is still a very solid rig for the price that should last me for 5+ years. My friend paid for about the same for a 3080 rig.
