games crashing on windows 11
everything was working fine until games randomly started crashing. it happens for seemingly no reason and appears to happen more when entering a load zone. are there any known solutions for this? sometimes games randomly close and sometimes they just freeze. no idea whats happening.

can you tell us what hardware your pc is made of? i can imagine that you have a software error, what would mean that you should reinstall windows, imho...i cannot tell you where the event viewer in windows 11 is, because i have german version of windows 10 pro.

btw: check your ram with a ramtest software (memtest or windwos embedded ramtest...memtest maybe better) and benchmark your pc with 3dmark demo...its free on steam. i would do so...my2ct.

Press Windows + X or right-click on the Windows Start menu to trigger the Quick Link menu. In the pop-up menu, click Event Viewer to launch it.

So easy to access these things in Windows OS via the taskbar search box.

All games or just specific ones?

Try turning off msi afterburner if you are using it.

press window key and type reliability and click on view reliability history.

Sounds like your OS is corrupted. Did you install Win11 as an in-place upgrade from within Win10?

First thing to try is installing or repairing your NET Framework. Judging by the exception error code, it appears to be a NET Framework related issue.

Yeah, If you guys think his windows install is screwed it's actually a lot easier doing a windows reset that will reinstall it, Trying to fix a broken operating system is such a pain in the bum that a reinstall is easier.

If that fails then it'll be some of your hardware, I'd guess ram but i dunno.

Oh and how old is your hard drive? Sometimes bad sectors can cause a crash or two.

When some of my hard drives went they went straight away without warning.

If your worried about your hard drive run crystal disk and look at your drives.

Not really because a Windows Reset requires that all of the files needed to do that are on the C Drive and not have any issues. However can just make a WIN10 64bit 21H2 USB flash drive and do it from there without doing a drive wipe + clean install.

Yes check each drives health with Crystal Disk Info just to be sure you don't have a failing drive. Can't hurt to run CHKDSK /F /R on each drive partition as well to verify all data, free space and if needed, mark off any bad sectors.
