Need help deciding how to pick a case and fans for this build

I have only modified inside a case I already owned when replacing the GPU, CPU and motherboard. So, I don't have much experience starting from the ground up with setting up cable management with things such as the PSU, fans, etc.

So, I'd like to spend only about 100-120 bucks on a case, just something adequate for airflow and room for the board selected. Corsair 4000D (or the smaller version might be more suitable for this board) and NZXT H5 Flow both fit this criteria. I'm not sure how I'd go about buying separate additional fan/fans for the case. I have a 30 dollar cooler for the CPU, but no additional cooling for the case, yet. I know some of it will depend on the case, so let's say for the aforementioned ones above.

All details on how to go about putting this together and tips for good cable management as well as what extra fans might be needed considering I'm starting a build from scratch.

Lian li lancool 215?

If i were to recomend budget cooling. It would be 4000d/215 and the Thermalright peerless assassins or phantom spirit.


The lancool 215 is a gamers nexus chart topper if i remember right and will not need fans. In the uk it is £89. Nearly the same as 4000d but the lancool 215 is cooler. If there is a better case at that price id like to see it on the gamers nexus review charts.

Seems like a good case the 216. I would check prices on anything that did better, just for deals on old stock. Gamers nexus are the place you check for reviews on cases and coolers. But yea the 216 looked good, and comes with all the fans needed 3 total 1 exhaust 2 intake.

No and it cools like a beast thats the appeal. It has an exhaust fan and two large intakes preinstalled.

Optional but not needed really. The 4000d for example comes with 2 fans and has space for 6 total.
