People seem to push the MB XMP specs. which is totally the wrong thing to do for a stable system.
they are almost always above the spec
does not mean the cpu cant do it

On my laptop I've actually turned off turbo boost. Went from 5GHz down to 4.2GHz base. Noise levels drastically down, temps down, and performance is about 1 to 5% less. Not much if you ask me.
Consoles also are quiet because they don't boost the crap out their CPU's.
