not really.....fire breathing monster that CPU is.....if you can fit it in the case go to at least a 360mm AIO.....going by the parts picker link I am going off you being in the UK so your options are limited VS me in the states

BLING option for the UK market at a 150 euros i think
https://www.newegg.com/global/uk-en/evga-liquid-cooling-system-clx-360/p/N82E16835288017

and sticking with ASUS in a 360mm size at a 128 euros
https://www.newegg.com/global/uk-en/asus-liquid-cooling-system/p/N82E16835101072

if you bounce around the web looking you will find most sites recommend 360 AIOs for that CPU and its for a reason......at your price point for what the link shows me its only a extra 10 euros to get a temp LCD read out on the CPU pump in a 360mm or you can save 10 by going with a ASUS 360 that looks just like the 280 you were looking at buying....i would spend the little more for the temp read out screen but that is me and i like the wally stuff like that.....no matter what look at the 360 asus as its cheaper IF IT CAN FIT.....good luck sir

360 AIO is the small variant isn't it? Wouldn't the 420 AIO be better??? I got the 280 AIO one on my i7 12700k. I have the Asus Helios case that's big and only fits big fans like the 140mm. It wont fit the 360 AIO.

Asus Strix Helios case can fit 360mm radiator both in front and top.

Is the 13700K a fire breather?
R3dAlert93 30/jun./2024 às 14:23
Okay so if i get the 14700k and 360mm AIO would i have to fiddle around with the fan speed RPM in the bios???

Ive been running an Arctic LF III 240 with a 14700K and Im sure the Asus will beat it. If your case can fit it, like others said, go with a 360, but a good 240 will work fine. Especially with a bit of undervolting
R3dAlert93 30/jun./2024 às 14:32
Think i'll go for the Asus ROG RYUO III 360 ARGB 70.07 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler. Though i will have to put the radiator at the top since the helios comes with a 420 fan holder for the front of the chassis.

what in gods name is a read out screen going to do for temps ? lmao chances are if your running high end gear your monitoring it with software.get a 360mm call it a day also get a anti buckle plate like the Thermalright LGA 1700 makes a huge difference in cooler/stable/consistent temps across all cores.

Will this cpu cooler be fine for the i7 14700K???

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/fTPQzy/asus-rog-strix-lc-ii-280-argb-1023-cfm-liquid-cpu-cooler-rog-strix-lc-ii-280-argb

https://www.msi.com/Liquid-Cooling/MEG-CORELIQUID-S360

Im using this on a 14900ks cpu. my temps idle at 34, go no higher than 65 during heavy gaming.
Kobs 30/jun./2024 às 18:11
Can't go wrong with a 3 fan rad.
smokerob79 30/jun./2024 às 19:28
the screen is a bounce since it was close to his price point in the UK market....and yes a 360mm is bigger then a 280.....the more mass you have the longer you take to hit max temps.....the longer it takes to hit max temps the longer the CPU holds its boost clocks at the highest speeds.....the more surface area you have the more heat you can dissipate

I have a thermalright FROST TOWER that is the assassin with better fans and would love to tell him hay buy it.....BUT they dont have any distributors in the UK......and the other fact is the mounting plate is not a issue with all CPU coolers depending on the how the mount was done for the cooler.....

Using a Noctua NH-L12Sx77 on my i9 14900k. Push and pull fans inside a Corsair One i500, jaystwocents did a video on it on youtube. Make sure bios is limiting amps to 307a and 253 watts. I set core multiplier at 55x, so 5.5ghz. Air cooler for the win.

Will i have to mess around like undervolting the 14700k in the bios or can i just leave it as it is?
N3tRunn3r 2/jul./2024 às 7:49
13 and 14 series need AiO water cooling systems . . . !!

for example you need to undervolt a 13900K from 253W to 80W, so the biggest possible and fitting fan cooler could do its job . . .

Never hurts to try it. Usually the performance drop is negligible for big improvements in temperatures and noise levels.
