Unsure what drives have a DRAM cache..
Yes, but not at $99. 'bout a few months ago I saw it on sale for both Newegg and Crucial for more like $56 if I recall correctly. There's always a few 1 terabyte P.C.I.E. gen 4 drives in the $56-64 price range and I really wouldn't worry too much about the perf. difference of drives within the same p.c.i.e. gen unless you had a known professional application.

It's mostly helping with boot time and loading screens, and if you're having problems with caching I'd maybe put the savings towards more R.A.M. first,. maybe making a R.A.M. disk for your cache[www.softperfect.com], rather than actually having it on disc (as is the default).

Edit: D.R.A.M. cache information normally isn't listed in the spec., and it's subject to change. The fattydove drive removed it after Linus's review for example, and even though fattydove isn't exactly the most inspiring brand on the market, I think they're not the only ones to pull that stunt. Nobody really knows which drives have which. There are watchlist groups that try to report what they've noticed and that's the best you can do in that regard.

I don't think the Crucial P3 Plus has D.R.A.M. cache, but it's performance is pretty laudable regardless, and if I recall correctly, it sort of matters less the faster the base speed of the drive is anyway.
