psu grounding
@ Bad 💀 Motha If I touch my psu while it plugged in and on while being used by the pc like it’s in a state of load or is being used will it still drain the static from me if I touch it or does there need to be no load for the static to be removed?

The load on the PSU (whether your PC is in use or not) does not affect its ability to ground static electricity. The key factor is that the PSU is grounded through the power outlet. As long as it's plugged in, the static electricity will dissipate.

the psu shell and case are earth grounded by the power cables ground plug

if you have any static buildup it will be released to ground by where you touch it, psu/case
it may be a static shock, but if thats to ground it will do no harm even if the pc is on

That's assuming that the outlet the power supply is connected to is grounded properly. It might not be. If so then nothing in the computer is grounded if the outlet isn't also grounded properly.

and the house is wired correctly
but most are, and pc power plugs have a ground prong

but when working on the pc, as long as you share the same ground as the components you are handling all is fine
