Do You Use 'Snap Assist" In Windows?
You know when you drag a window to the edge of your screen, and the entire window automatically sticks to that edge for you?

Do you use it? Lately I've been finding myself wrestling with it, so I turned it off. IDK if it's functionality suddenly got worse, or if I just changed.

no, i hate it when windows resizes a window (or multiple windows at the same time) when moving one, esp when across multiple displays

Personally, I enjoy that feature but I see why it could be a problem for some.
nope i disabled that crap, it causes windows to not be able to be dragged to another screen.

along with at least in win 11 (not sure on 10 atm and isnt related to that setting) resizing issues, where stuff likes to resize on its own, when opened, or fullscreened, etc..
annoying desu
i use it, i like to snap things quickly sometimes

unless i move my mouse really slowly it doesn't get stuck on one monitor so i see no issue with it but i am on windows 10 so maybe it's more annoying on win 11.

I do use it. Especially at work with an ultrawide monitor.

It works surprisingly well for my dual monitor setup, especially when you try to append application windows against the post between the screens. However, I can't say that I ever have tried pinning applications to the corners of a screen that much.

Mind you, this is Windows 10 experiences I am referring to. There is a very non-zero chance that Microsoft has up and made it worse in Windows 11.

Well, that's why I said in my post that it might just be a 'me' problem, because I am also using windows 10. Have been for years, and just out of nowhere, suddenly I am finding the feature annoying. It's just strange.
I use it all the time, but then again I have used similar features since both AMD and Nvidia offered them in drivers back in the XP days.
I noticed that Steam does this regardless of windows settings. None of my other windowed programs snap but Steam does so aggressively.
I hate it.

I disable it and nothing always snaps my ♥♥♥♥ off to that left.

I like my folders and ♥♥♥♥ in specific places not snapping to the top left even though I only have one folder on my desktop.

Anyways, if you use MS Onedrive you CANNOT turn Snap Assist off at all - it just does not work.

no one should be using onedrive, its crap and not to mention it screws up games for tons of people, aside from antiviruses, i find onedrive is frequently mentioned in causing issues and removal fixes games it was stopping from running.

Most features for "users" they add I call garbage, but I get ignored. I don't use any such features. But don't worry, soon they will be shoving AI features no one asked for...

they already do, pretty sure they put copilot in win 10 as well?, but win 11 has it and 12 will have it from the start.

in any case, i removed that crap (copilot), along with edge, bing, onedrive and a bunch of other bs stuff, from my win 11 pro install.

I use the feature quite a bit. I used it earlier today for three windows.

I use it on KDE.

I appreciate it. I prefer to use one monitor for a plethora of reasons and it can be a useful feature to quickly create a workflow.
