Spider lives in Index-VR Headset

I saw a web in my VR Headset. I blowed hard around the lenses and for a short time a damn spider appeard. In an blink it hides someware in the narrow parts around the lenses.

I used the vacuumcleaner, but iam not sure if i got it.

Do you have some suggestions?
I thougt about drowning the whole Headset in destilled water, heat it up or cool it down beyond some temperature - but i dont know the Temp-limits of the headset :-D

Im clueless, please help :-D

Wouldn't recommend doing this as you damage something, also I suggest using some kind of cover, or case for the VR that help keep things out from it.

For spider problem, best can do is get a cloth, wipe around, I mean spiders are very squishy, so you likely crushed it by doing so.

first make a call to Steam and find out the minimum safe storage temp for the Index. Not for use, just the lowest official safe temp for storage.

Then find a way (likely refrigerator) to put it in a place that cold for a few days.

Hope the Index is rated to cold enough to freeze the spider inside.

The poor itsy bitsy radioactive fella just wanted to have a fun time with Mary Jane on VRChat and you had to go 'n murder him over it! You should feel ashamed of yourself! :-P

Tape up your lenses carefully and use a eco friendly bug spray not for the spider but for you since your face is going to be in it lol ....just clean it toroughly after a day or so with a damp cloth and soft soap (dish soap) the smell and the spider will be gone.

After researching how to get spiders to leave a place, the solution was quite simple: spiders react sensitively to some essential oils and then flee. So I put a mixture of camphor and eucalyptus oil (which I still had) in an open bottle under the lenses of the headset.
No more cobwebs two days later. The lenses look fine, I guess it didn't harm them. I have since used it again and all went well.
However, I can't deny a certain discomfort when I have it on my head. :-D

That's cool. High frequencies also make them vacate. There is a device you can find in the insect/pest control section of stores that uses high frequency to vacate critters without killing them. The box is purple.
