Added new memory to system, can see them all in BIOS but not in post.

I added another 32gig ram to my system. I can see all the 4 ram modules in the BIOS main screen but when the computer boots it only says 32gig and not what is installed.

Motherboard is Asus B450 prime plus with Ryzen 5600G

Does Task Manager show the extra 32 GB as hardware reserved?

As long as you haven't changed your boot options to limit it to 32 GB, then the other common reason this happens is because the system can't truly initialize the RAM for one reason or another, but it's not preventing it from POSTing. It does happen.

Further details would help.

What motherboard and BIOS version? What CPU? What RAM? (specific details on all DIMMs please.) Have you tried running at RAM default speeds without using the RAM profiles to see if you get different results?

Reset the CMOS
Then boot up and enter the BIOS and enable DOCP/AMP/XMP for the RAM.

The post should be UEFI which js just a logo and an OS loading screen, you shouldn't see any DOS looking text during a modern day PC boot process. Double check everything in the OS using Task Manager and CPU-Z, or via StartMenu > start typing System and click on System Information and it should all show properly in there as well.

It's possible your Motherboard might not allow all 4 to run at 3600 so please be aware of this.

It's running them all at 2400 which is the same speed when I only had 2 modules installed.

I'll try that later. I just did a bios update to the latest bios and we will see how that goes first

Open Task Manager, navigate to the "performance" tab, and then the "memory" pane. If it's showing under hardware reserved, then it's not properly being initialized as part of the memory configuration during POST for one reason or another but it's at least being detected as present by the BIOS.

Search for "msconfig" and choose "System Configuration". Navigate to the "boot" tab and choose "Advanced Options". The top two check boxes should not be checked and overridden (if they are, clear any overrides and uncheck them entirely), but people sometimes like to "tweak" this sort of stuff (page file being another) for one reason or another.

Updating the BIOS and clearing the CMOS/resetting to BIOS to defaults should also be done.
