Older games, sure, current games no, at least not with max settings. Of course you could do 4K if you are willing to mess around with graphics settings.
4K + DLSS performance has still higher input and output resolution than 1440p + DLSS quality.
The thing is, when people ask these questions here, they're almost always taking about 'max settings'.
I think that some benchmarkers give an impression that all modern games are close to being unplayable and 4K is something unachievable.
I think people asking the question should get a full answers that even the 14900KS + 4090 will struggle with native 4K while most semi modern hardware can do 4K with upscaling and optimised settings in many games.
Some games can be near enough maxed out. All the resident Evil games play now in 4k as well and they too look amazing!
