Which one looks easiest/simplest to you? Try that one first.
Are you comfortable editing the registry? If not then maybe rufus. Again, take a look at both options, which ones seems preferable to you? Try that one first.
side note: grab your OS iso from microsoft.
use the last rufus version that works on win 7, the newer one doesnt work on win 7.
note: for the above and the experience i had using it, was... it didnt work for me, even using the win 7 version.
or you can get the github batch file to automate the changes when installing win 11.
or you can input the changes by yourself, when installing.
in any case, when running the installer and on the first screen that pops up, hold shift and press f10 and in command prompt type "regedit", it loads the registry and you can do one of the above 2 last options i mentioned, for the very last one you need to know before hand which part of the registry to enter the "fixes", (note below with extra info) then close the registry and finish the installation.
side note: you can also during the step above or afterwards, skip the microsft account nonsense if you wish, by again holding shift f10 and typing "OOBE\BYPASSNRO", closing the command prompt after its done doing w/e, or disconnecting your pc from the router, among a few other ways, then finishing the installation.
that being said, you can always post back here for help, good luck.
additional note:
i installed win 11 on all of these in the links below and they run as expected.
but also keep in mind win 11 is getting an update that forces the use and check for POPCNT, (SSE4.2 for intel and SSE4.2a for amd), so be sure the cpu meets that requirement at the very least.
yours being SSE4.2a for amd.
always bypass microsofts arbitrary requirements.
Just stick with Win 10 instead or go for another Operating System.
The entire reason of Win 11 is mostly just to secure the boot stage. It's been exploited in the previous versions, which can allow rootkit malware infect your system before your anti-virus scanner can detect it. Win 11 adds a hardware isolation layer to that, yet needs that hardware to be able to do just that. Without it, you are merely back to Win 10's level of security anyways.
just make a backup of your registry, you can replace it, or simply do a clean install which will have a fresh registry.
importing/exporting is the options for that.
That's not up to Rufus. That's up to the person installing and how they decide to install and how the install file is directed to install itself.
But he told me that both hte pc at the office and the pc of his parents didnt lose anythign when he upgraded from to to 11 by usign this method.
If I were you, I'd ask for help guiding you through the entire setup process. Sounds like you may end up finishing the install and then realizing all your stuff is gone. Try to be careful.
that being said, the manual way isnt hard to do and you can google exactly where to go to add the DWORDS and how to set them up.
also like mentioned above, you can in a way, "backup" your registry, by using the import and export function, or doing a clean install again which gives you a fresh registry.
i havent had a single issue editing the registry, simply because info you search shows you exactly where to go and what to add/edit and apply.
.. at best do a full fresh and clean Windows 11 install:
