Currently have a Ryzen 5 2600 and upgrade it to Ryzen 5 5600 but after the change the 5600 just went black screen and can't get pass that, my Mobo is B450M DS3H WIFI and I already update the Bios to the latest version on their website. I revert back to my 2600 and it works just fine tried one more time on the 5600 still black screen, so now i'm still using my 2600.. Anyone have any tips they can help me with..:steamsad:

Tienes un speaker para tu motherboard? sirve para poder diagnosticar que error esta dando la pc

sounds like you are using a cpu chip that doesn't support onboard graphics, a stand alone graphics card will be needed to use the 5 5600

Which BIOS did you update to specifically. Wen you going into the BIOS you can confirm it's on the version you think it should be?

Maybe a faulty CPU. Send it back as you have receipt as proof of purchase from them and explain all the methods you have done. They exchange it for a working one.

where did you get the 5600 from?

could be dead

and make sure to use the dedicated gpu, as neither of them have an igpu, as the mobos dp/dvi/hdmi ports will not work with them

Update to latest BIOS before the cpu swap.

Yes must use dedicated gpu and connect displays to it since you can't use motherboard vide out since the cpu has no onboard gpu

needs bios ver f62 or later to support the 5600

the board has a weakish vrm config
4+2+1
~100w to the cpu cores before the board will throttle it

Previously it was F62 then i tried the 5600 still black screen..thats when I updated to F64 and still same result.. im currently ready to going to the shop to have it check if the chip is a faulty one.

And did you RESET CMOS after the CPU change, as that is always wise to do. When it does go to boot it might take a minute to post or even reboot.once on its own before actually posting anything on-screen. When it does be ready to enter the bios and make changes before booting into an OS

Ok yes, it's very possible that's a DOA CPU.

Was it sealed in retail box or was it a used cpu?

Bios settings needs to be changed, onboard graphics need to be disabled. To see if the GPU takes over. Needs to be done, with the old CPU, then put the new one in and restart. If it still does not work, then the ports could be changed, of the GPU. Or adjust the screen to search for an other signal.

if the cpu does not have the igpu, the board will not even allow to enable it

So are you saying, OP has no GPU just an onboard one.

neither of those cpus have an igpu
he needs to and has been using the dedicated gpu

the board cannot enable something that does not exist
