A freaking quality brand for a WiFi 7 Router costs about 400 - 500 EUR, more than double than a Router for Fiber .. no one would pay for that "new" tech as long as WiFi 6E runs flawlessly..
Talking about a WiFi 7 Mesh network... would you really pay about 2000 EUR for such latest tech on these days? A router and maybe 2 - 3 Mesh stations?
A good WiFi 6E Router 6 GBit with fiber modem included for 2.5 Gbit costs about 200 EUR .. of course supports ADSL, ADSL 2+, VDSL + Vectoring Super Vectoring, FTTH, G.fast (FTTB)
Personally I would wait one more year to check WiFi 7 prices again .. and stick to 6E yet ..
Even if the manufacturers did some preliminary work, it would take them months to release devices that are fully compliant with Wifi7.
Not to mention that not only the router and access point must support it, the endpoint has to support it as well.
And there is still a lack of Wifi 6E support on that front.
I have a Dream Machine SE as my router and (2) U7 Pro (WiFi 7) access points. The access points are POE+ so its a single network cable for power and data, when WiFi 8 comes along I can swap out the access points and be back up and running in a few seconds.Very easy to setup but can be configured to the max if you want to go down that rabbit hole.
