Sound switching devices when gaming
Lately my sound just goes to another device (like headphones) and comes back to the one I'm on while gaming. I've tried updating the driver even deleting the device so I have only one and it comes back it takes like 2 to 4 seconds to comes back and does that randomly... very annoying
Aanyone has a solution?

Set proper default sound in sound manager/sound settings.

Or just get an external sound card and never have issues with sound again.

when headphones or a new sound device is detected by windows, it will default to switching to it
if the speaker count is different, then the game may have issues with the change

How many audio output devices are connected to your pc?

What are they all?

sometimes the connectors get stressed and mess up the jack on-board / on the case and does not get a good connection any longer, causing an disconnect and re-detection.

Agree it might be easier to just get a usb sound card and disable the mobo on-board sound in bios, I always recommend SB Play 3 it is far above and beyond the on-board realtek...

disabling does not remove them, its just stops windows from being able and trying to switch to them
