I’ve got NVIDIA 3050 TI Laptop and when I updated my drivers the performance went down

I have cpu: intel core i7 126xx, GeForce etc 3050 to laptop and 16 gb of ram. I have updated my drivers because performance for some reason in the games like cs2 or Fortnite got worse.( I don’t know why the performance got worse if before those games were working perfectly fine and now they started lagging if any ideas why, please tell me) so after that I updated my drivers and the performance got even worse, the games freeze, suddenly fps goes down to 30-40 and then back to normal 144 and over and over again the same thing. PLEASE if you know how to fix it or to fix drivers, please tell me

where did you get the drivers?

windows update never has the correct ones

get them from the laptop mfg site
and nvidia, be sure to grab the mobile drivers

Lagg in Games on a Laptop is more often then not, a thermal throttle related issue.

Monitor the cpu and gpu temps.

Wipe all gpu drivers. Reboot and then get latest for Intel Chipset and Graphics from Intel > https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html

Once installed, reboot and get Nvidia driver from > https://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx

On that Nvidia page, select GeForce and then select GeForce RTX 30 series (Notebook)

Once installed reboot.

Then launch Nvidia control panel and configure that for better game performance and set the High Performance GPU as the default
