Windows enabled enhanced pointer precision on it's own.

I was in the middle of a game and noticed my mouse was suddenly very un responsive. After some looking into the problem I discovered the problem was "enhanced pointer precision" was ticked in the mouse settings.

As soon as I unticked the box my mouse was back to normal. Does anyone know why it might of turned on by itself?

I know what the setting is for, I researched it. I'm just puzzled why it turned on.

Probably some settings changed from Windows update - it is known to change settings sometimes, and the reasoning they give is something to do with the update changing how those settings work so they revert them to defaults.
Had this happen with my "Power Plan" settings recently, bunch of settings changed due to Windows update
