If you use an EDU version or Enterprise , I think that the copilot doesn't install. For other versions, not too sure.
But with Windows 12 coming , Microsoft will be pushing that AI stuff hard
And they will probably enforce it on Win 11 for as many people as they can.
either it was applied by a mod who didn't even know wikipedia exists and thought it was a bypassed virus link, the wikipedia page you linked probably mentioned something that breaks Steam ToS or they made a mistake
i'm aware i'm taking a risk at a warning or ban here, i'm fine with it, i don't post here much anyway so it doesn't seem to matter much
Doing OK but could always be better! I use Win7 exclusively at work, home and office and have been since ~2009. Currently running 7 PCs on Win7 updated to 2025.2.12 running a mix of apps like Libre Office, Firefox, r3dfox, Supermium, Steam, etc.
Looking forward to Win10 being discontinued and possibly getting the same aftermarket support that Win7 did.
This. So much of this I can hardly bear it. Fun Tymes Again!
L - Logic.
Please accept my condolences.
cause since I completely removed it, I haven't seen any installation shinanigins.
that said, seems lots of hate for 11, but I havet found anything to hate about it, especially with it cleaned and setup, aside from development bugs and having to bypass all its requirements and so far it's run fine on "unsupported" hardware, due to tpm 1.2, cpu not on list, but meets popcnt.
win 10 on the other hand, in my experience was a dumpster fire of problems, that funnily enough were never fixed and lasted long into support ending soon.
No hate for debloated 10/11 here, but the User Interface is really bad... and fugly.
Functions are hidden behind new unnecessary sub- and sub-sub-menu's, options split in illogical separate windows, tons of unnecessary options presented as important and unavoidable.
When you look at the user interface Windows 7 is a huge improvement over 10/11.
All the new UI's do is stealing you time and demanding your attention (and serving ads now).
In my view an OS should almost be non-present, in the service of the programs I run.
