I prefer KDE to GNOME, but COSMIC is enticing, they just need to finish and polish it so it's a proper DE that can replace GNOME
A&A 19. jan. kl. 12.46
Some DE's have been ported over to Wayland and others still remain in X11.

The thing is:
KDE just works. Speaking of the look, it is similar to Windows.
Cinnamon, I can make it look like Windows 7 if I want, but I'm not that interested in customizing the front end stuff that much.
Gnome is Gnome. I really don't want to put the heaviest DE on my machines.
Mate, might check it out again. The last time was promising.
LXDE, I really like given the resources it uses and how responsive it can be, but I don't like the fact that there are features that don't exist a.k.a. fix it yourself. (stuck with x11)

LXQt and Xfce 0 experience, even so they are stuck with X11.

Am I too greedy? (-‿-")

New Windows 7 version is ...
6.1.7601.27520

You can check the [Properties] > [Details] of the following system files to check:

hal.dll
kernel32.dll
ntdll.dll
ntfs.sys
processr.sys
wow64cpu.dll
So basically only a few of the most low-level files, and not the frontend files? How about the Windows Update Client files? Are they cracked in order to install this Windows Server ESU update on Windows 7?

There are too many updated system files to list here, I just check a few of the common ones I am familiar with. The updates from Microsoft are not cracked or modified, they are legit and signed by Microsoft. You can verify this yourself if you'd like.

Are the components that download and install updates being modified by this?

The updates you refer to are for a different version of Windows. You can't update Windows 7 because there has not been any new updates released for Windows 7 in the past 12 months.

here we go again with the thread drama... :steamfacepalm:

___________

anywho... on the topic of changing parts and os keys.

only thing i have seen deactivate keys was cpu on occasion and always mobo.

besides mobo, the key has always reactivated and im sure win 7 activation servers are still up and running.

hello

no clue but probably , and i do not think gpu, memory, hdd (outside main) are part of the "sha256 hardware" made to identify the licence ...
talking about activation server , it's probably true because there is still many people using w7 even if we do not recieve "quality update" ( because it's the funny name now used by mikeysoft to qualify their ♥♥♥♥ ) trought the common windows update channel .. ( only msrt and defender nowaday )

Valve added EndeavourOS to the hardware survey in December, that's how popular it's grown as a simpler way to get Arch without the unnecessary hassle.

Pretty sure Torvalds himself stated that people can't stick to the same old way of doing things on Linux forever, things have to become better one way or another, keeping things unnecessarily tedious when they don't need to be is only going to make it harder for people to adjust, there's a balance. It can't be completely as simple as Windows to the point that it's dumbed down but it also doesn't need to be as much of a pain in the neck as possible for newbies just because of a few egotists set in their ways.

EOS is easy enough that it makes Arch easily accessible to relatively new users and makes life with the terminal a little bit more simple out of the box as AUR helpers are generally easier to work with than apt.

i.e.
searching AUR and other repos for a package; yay -Ss [keyword] (i.e. yay -Ss steam)
installing a package from AUR or other repos; yay -S [package-name] (i.e. yay -S steam)
removing a package; yay -R [package-name] (i.e. yay -R steam)
updating the system; yay (defaults to running yay -Syu which will initiate a system update which checks for updates for core system files and other packages the user installed from the system's repos)

You don't need to use it in a VM, just boot from the USB and you can test it without installing it, won't save everything you do but it's good enough for quick testing

Okay so I need some info help about email scam thingie.

I got an email from my service provider. Seems like the monthly electrical bill. However this looked abit different as also I already got one for this month.
Strange cus the sender is my provider email adress however the receiver is not my email adress. How I got this email then? How they can use the provider email?

So far I was good to filter scam emails just to check the sender. Lately this is not the first email what use the right sender email adress.
