Thank you so much! It's great to see solid progress on these old, dependable apps. :)
aye but it does not work on w7 , you need to find the needed dll and use vxkex if you want to use it under w7
AutoCAD for example comes with special versions for different fields like electrical, architecture, mechanical and so on.

I tested the software last year for my published Adblock,- Filterlists. Usual MS stuff with telemetry, tracking and ads. Installation and use are not recommended.
They invade privacy wherever they can and take what they want. Maybe i will do an updated test again but according to the article on Neowin it is still the same. These cleaner tools are proven to cause more harm than they claim to resolve or come equipped with questionable mechanics, like the PC Manager.
IF we only look at the tool itself (without MS) it must also be noted that comparable software such as CCLeaner is far worse with regard to user espionage, invasive ads and data theft. Especially BigTech companies don't give a damn about such things despite scandals and lawsuits and just carry on as usual.
Unfortunately, numerous service providers have not learned from the the Avast/Piriform cases or the countless data scandals involving Microsoft and products continue to be advertised.
What makes software like these even worse is that they sometimes rewrite users' security settings without consent, delete filter rules and, if users attempt to block connections to these companies they are often harassed by false alerts and quarantine messages from Windows Defender or similar Software. Profit comes first, followed by so called "security". Users should always carefully review and research what they are installing on their systems.
I have worked very little on SolidWorks.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/SolidWorks
But for my needs, 2D drawings are enough for me. Even if I have to do them by hand. It is my hobby.
We know you can't resist and I think that's okay.
The latest UpdatePack 7 (2024.10.10) works fine just as it usually does, no issues to report. I can't comment on new updates until they are released and tested but I do expect them to be functional and trouble free.
Long live Win7! :)
note sur solidworks is more advanced ... it was the cao tools used by all the group i've worked for (41k employees around the world )
it just depand on what kind of domain it's been used as not all cao tools excell in all domains but as i never used it , i will be hard for me to talk about it i was just an ITxd
Do not waste your time with this fox guy , he's just repeating the same bs again and again over many threads ...

i just hope he can understand what a mikeysoft employe just answered here

Microsoft Employee
It will be fixed in the December update.
In the meantime, if you have an ESU contract, please request a Group Policy to disable the fix that is causing the regression.
/-----------------------------------------
also note that these update has been used on both windows 7 sp1 and windows server 2008r2 , funny no ?
And mikeysoft employe did not say the bs this guy constantly post xd
so the best is to skip the quality and security cumulativ of this month as it will be corrected and include into the december update anyway.
ignorance is a bliss ...
issue from w11 24h2 is continouisly growing day after day ..; poor w11 beta users ...

...
To be fair, it seems said microsoft employee assumes you have an ESU contract, which would only cover Server 2008 since no version of Windows 7 itself is receiving updates anymore.
It seems... unlikely to me that Microsoft would mention updates for an OS that they officially aren't releasing updates for anymore, especially given any updates that said OS receives are on an unofficial repack of questionable legality.
The older Windows versions are performing worse on Ryzen CPUs due MS shenanigans meaking the branch prediction to be less accurate...
Idk why, but on the dead ideadpad 3 with Ryzen 5 5500U there was a huge difference between running it as it is and debloated to a point of no change.
Speaking of impacting CPUs, I still don't understand why the power plan has settings for E-class cores on non-hybrids.
