They don't have full or even partial hardware acceleration because those iGPU decoders are obsolete. They just don't have AV1 or VP9 codecs. So the CPU has to do the work.

Which old quad cores can struggle with at higher resolutions because H.264 needs a faster CPU to do as well. Old stuff is fine for 1080p, just not 2160p

It does not support AV1 nor VP9.
If we take a 10-year-old video as an example, and there are several views that can be H 264, you can decode it with the GPU, but YouTube encodes the popular ones themself to VP9, maybe AV1 to reduce costs.

The only thing I know I have no issue with 1080p videos on youtube with my RX 580 (4GB) and i5-3470.

i am able to run 1080p videoes on my asus laptop. it have a gt 630m. there is now another game that removed windows 7 support and that is final fantasy 8 remastered. it required .net framework 4.0 which only works in windows 8 or newer. the old version of final fantasy 8 still works however.

aye funny video but most people take this as reality when it was not ...
the computer running xp was directly exposed to internet , i mean no router has been used between the comp and internet .( it ip was accessible by anymore ) Aslo firewall was disabled and for the rest ,not even know if xp has been updated with all the patch.

Nothng will happen in normal condition of use of xp nowaday as i allready demonstrated with an xp behind a router, using it own firewall and updatodate... but people don't even understand what they seen on this video

Point is that it takes extreme circumstances to make an operating system unsafe to connect to the internet, and that the claims people make about Windows 7 being unsafe to use on the internet in 2024 is nothing more than a myth

No see when an OS like XP and 7 entered the now unsupported era, it no longer can or will receive various certificate updates. That alone in and of itself makes the entire OS unsafe to use connected to Internet. Just because nothing bad has personally happened to a particular user who's using that unsupported OS doesn't prove its some how safe.

September Windows update is out, 2024.9.10. I'll be testing it this weekend and into next week on my Windows 7 Pro/Ultimate PCs.

VxKex still in use here, it's too bad the development was stifled. Version 1.1.1.1375 is on GitHub and still seems to work well but you might need to whitelist it in your security software.
