You should actually use Endeavour.
I did, I used it for over a year, and everyone that knows vanilla Arch knows that it's just a rebrand of vanilla Arch with a GUI installer to make things easier. There's no other notable key differences other than the fact that EOS is more streamlined, quicker to install and setup.

If Arch had the same installation method then EOS either wouldn't exist, or would've stayed in obscurity like most Arch distros. There's just nothing else to really note about it, it's basically just Arch for beginners and I was a beginner, so I used EOS.

There is more to Endeavour than just an installer.

It's very minimal in what it does add. But, what it does add is very helpful to a newcomer.
With all the wall of text I readed trough my conclusion: Mint. :D

Mark my words.

You will start with Mint. But, after a few months, you'll be hungry for more. You cannot escape the Linux rabbit hole. Never.

That doesn't change what I said and there's no reason to get defensive of it (which is what I perceive of the initial response that I should use it), it doesn't stand out much. It streamlines the installation and adds things that people would've already added to Arch regardless, and gives you the options to add other popular things that may or may not be added by the user.

Manjaro, Garuda, and CachyOS all have something over it:

Manjaro uses its own repo and won't pull anything from the AUR unless you change it so it will and has its own update schedule to prevent broken updates from causing problems.

Garuda adds in a bunch of custom software to make installing popular gaming packages easier and comes with a lot of gaming software pre-installed as it's a gaming-focused OS. Garuda also has its own repo but can also access the AUR by default.

CachyOS isn't too different from face value from Arch and EOS, just has additional optimizations which puts its performance in the same class as Intel's Clear Linux, offers additional kernel options for further tuning including options for handheld devices like the Deck, and also has its own repo and also accesses the AUR by default as well.

But that's all because it was designed by the team to be as close to Arch as possible, with the major key difference being the GUI installer. It only came into existence after Antergos Linux, another Arch distro, ceased development, and moderators of that community banded together after the community supported the initial idea to replace Antergos, with the end result being EOS. It was never designed or intended to be very different, it was meant to just be Arch.

I'm sorry but you are quite underselling Endeavour by calling it just an easy installer. The rest of your wall of text is a waste of time on your part. I either already know or don't give care about it.

Edit: Because the mods are easily triggered.

Mozilla is extending support for ESR 115 only on Windows 7-8.1 up to March 2025. (previously September 2024.)

I should also mention that it includes macOS 10.12-10.14.

that's nice of them... tho I'm still using the older version on my win7 system anyways since the newer one isn't compatible with my plugins.

They'll re-evaluate the decision in early 2025 and announce any updates on ESR 115's end-of-life then.

I'm calling it what it is and what the greater Arch community recognises it as, you don't have to accept it but that's what it is and what it was designed to be by its own makers.
