mageia, solus and alma are way better alternatives to POP now. pop is another failed EA program.
thats why its like number 3 i guess, cachy will pass it just watch ;)
im stop spamming my opinion now gday
thats why i was trying to sell you Vanilla OS.
the fact that you never used linux before makes vanilla a better option than mint. seriously, less clicks, more stuff.
vanilla by the time your done first time setup you have lutris flatpak and flatseal built-in, NATIVE!
but at the end of the day im just selling my fav distro i want it to take off. youll do fine with mint good luck. i remember you can always buy a $60 hard drive from walmart and have BOTH
the little problem i see about all that is we are talking about different flavor of linux , using ubuntu, debian , redhat or fedora with a different desktop and ui when , well, in fact we do not really care imo.
all we should care is whine and proton and the drivers ( amd or nvidia but also other for nve or usb3.x) rest is just "candy' and cosmetic ...
Garuda is Arch with a bunch of performance optimizations applied, all of which can be done on almost any distro through repositories like the AUR.
CachyOS has the same optimizations but adds further optimizations of its own, several kernel variants, kernel scheduling controls, etc. so there's actually something substantial to work with there, it's less work to get Arch running its best when you just go with Cachy
ive said it was my opinion many times now, why is that odd?
my odd hardline was keepig it in the top 50 of the dirstrowatch list... IF YOU ARE NEW TO LINUX AD LOOKING FOR SOMETHING EASY TO USE LIKE WINDOWS
thats more or less a fact. and when i say more or less. i mean more.
True and agree xd
There's nothing inherently wrong with EOS, Garuda, Pop!_OS, Mint, any of them, and a lot of people love them, there are better options but that's all relative and it doesn't mean that the others aren't good.
from my point of view , you are focussing a way to much on ui ... when it's not a problem .. just click on icon and it run the tool behind ,even in cosmid, gnome, kde, cinamon etc ....
yeah that part was odd my bad
but my opinion of endevour and garuda is the same as yours. i do like how garuda has all the dragon effects built-in right from the install because i would never waste a second of my life looking them up.
