Everyone can look here: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=2024-06%20Embedded%20standard%207
This is the official distribution location from Microsoft for update KB5039339. Do note everyone how it says that this update is only for Windows Embedded Standard 7. Then also note how Master.Constructor shows us that through UpdatePack7 they were able to install this update in a computer running Windows 7 Professional SP1 x64.
KB5039339 was never intended to be installed in Windows 7 Professional SP1 x64 according to Microsoft.
KB5039339 is not compatible with Windows 7 Professional SP1 x64 according to Microsoft.
UpdatePack7 is taking updates for other versions of Windows, modifying the update installer, then allows the updates to be installed inside versions of Windows that otherwise could never install these updates.
As I have stated before: UpdatePack7 DOES NOT CONTAIN UPDATES FOR WINDOWS 7 HOME, PRO, OR ULTIMATE.
UpdatePack7 can not be used to update normal versions of Windows 7.
so people will understand the problem with this
even if this is not some random person putting a bot on your pc
these are not the same editions
they do not contain the same programs
that means the updates for security will not be the same
even if the core system is the same (not sure because i do not have it)
they will not contain any security updates for programs on any other version
all of the things that the stripped down edition got rid of
again, use this if you want
keep at it with 7
hope it runs for you for years to come
make sure you do the research before using some rando's program
Windows Embedded Standard 7 is a Windows 7-based operating system developed by Microsoft, designed for use in embedded industry systems such as automated teller machines and devices for the health care and manufacturing industries. It succeeded the Windows XP-based Embedded Standard 2009 release, and was later replaced by Windows Embedded 8 Standard in 2013.
As the operating system was intended to be used in embedded systems, most features that are found in the original release of Windows 7 were removed due to a lack of necessity for industrial use.

edit:you's and the like are the impersonal you
Then share screenshots of the Update History within your Win7 along with screenshot of what shows as a popup in your OS when you run WINVER
Even if somehow true, none of that matters and doesn't help a Win7/8 user prolong the existence of these OS. It is 100% pointless to continue running those OS, the same as would be true for XP or Vista.
Can you install the latest current version of Edge, Firefox or Chrome on Win7/8; no you can not. You can deploy all sorts of OS updates you want, but a user does everything via web browser in the end and that's what is most vulnerable and to which can't be updated any longer (since around Jan 2023)
Steam Client might even continue to "work" on Win7/8 for a while longer. But at some point it either will cease to work, or it simply will cease getting future updates; putting the User, their Account at risk; along with everyone else on Steam.
So no: You did install it on Windows 7 Ultimate. That's not possible normally.
I just installed UpdatePack7 24.6.12 on a Win7Pro laptop and two desktops this weekend. Also works just as well on Win7Ultimate. Have two more laptops to update I think.
Good news everybody, Windows 7 is running great in June 2024!
hehe
You're welcome @Master.Constructor
I know it's stupid, but it happened to use a Vista today for an hour or two...

not sur about telemety inside the update but it's easy to avoid just by blocking msie.exe on the firewall as it call home each time it is called if used and for the rest , i do not remember if Wusa.exe is also calling home each time he's been called but he's not blocked on my side.
