RTX 4060 gsync monitor question

i have a gigabyte RTX 4060 oc and a ASUS VG248QG 24in monitor. 165hz. it has the nvidia g sync sticker so its native g sync i would assume but i have no setup g sync in my nvidia control panel.... Help?

That monitor is gsync compatible, which uses the freesync standard and not an actual gsync module. Not native gsync, but freesync should be a similar experience.

Usually, you have to turn the feature on in the on screen settings on the monitor. Once enabled, you should have the option to turn gsync on in the nvidia control panel.

Turn it on in the monitor OSD and then turn it on in Nvidia Control Panel. It would be the same even with a proper GSync monitor. It is the same with my PG279q (gsync module) and my PG27AQDM (gsync compatible).

Make sure you're connected to the display using a DP cable, you can't do Gsync over HDMI.

This is also an excellent point. Hopefully Nvidia moves away from this next gen with HDMI 2.1.

thats exacly what it was. DP cable was needed.
