I need a NERD or GEEK 's help! Concerning multiple GAMES and PC storage...
I have a NERD question for any computer nerd/geeks...

I have an ASUS with AMD Ryzen 7 octo core PC with 16 GB RAM, and a secondary Radeon GPU, about a 6 year old laptop, gaming machine with Win 10. Its' been running slow recently, probably because it only has a .5TB or 500GB SSD internally, and storage is about 92%+ capacity.
It has probably 20 games (maybe exaggerating, but not by much) installed, from Civ VI, to HoMM V, to C&C:RA and many MANY others...
(Just setting the stage here)

I have an external WD personal cloud storage, a standalone tower plugs into the wall near my Router/Modem, and plugs into the router using a LAN wire. The PC connects by WiFi and connects with the storage cloud (12 TB with built in PC and internal RAM as well, but doesn't op like a computer, just helps support the storage) through the router. I transfer files all of the time.

I've moved most contents from PC onto my personal cloud, including 100s-1000s video files, and images, and documents etc (and removed them from the ASUS) and still the PC is near capacity. Not at first, after most was moved, it had about 100+ GB Free space. Sense I continued to play games on the ASUS, more storage space was being used, to now I have barely 20/500 GB free space left, or about 92% or more+. I started wondering if the Games, and the save files, map files, and all the files associated with the games I play (I do a lot of map editing on various games, which no doubt adds weight plus the saved game files for continuin progress later on). So...

CAN I move all those files to the External SSD and the games will know to locate and continue to save the data on the WD Cloud? Or...
DO I need to install the game exe themselves to the WD Cloud (after Uninstalling from PC)?

Will the computer be able to execute the game programs if they are on the cloud (As I often save and rewrite various images and videos on the WD, and even watch the videos from WD. Even making videos AS I'm trying to grow a YT Chan, my video rendering program is on PC but writes to and reads from the WD)??

Thanks. Sorry for the detail.

before you do anything
use a program like Wiz Tree to see what's taking up storage space.

i don't know much about cloud storage but to my understanding
it uses a very heavy compression algorithm so i doubt games would run directly off the cloud and would most likely need to decompress over the network first, then transfer back to the local storage and finally open. others can chime in on this as i don't use mass cloud storage personally (i have a NAS) but yeah use something like wiztree to check what's taking up so much space

ssd near full will make it crawl to a stop

thats most likely the problem

get a bigger drive in the pc
any drive, hdd is ok for most sp games, load time may be higher, but they are designed to load stuff before its needed

nas + wifi is a nono for games
just dont

adding more delays from pc to where the data is will just make them unplayable

4tb 7200rpm hdd is around $70-90usd and as fast as sata3 can support, just add that to the pc and install all your games on that
